O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Leo,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;
grant, we pray, that by word and example
he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever. Amen.

João Pozzobon carried the Pilgrim Mother image and walked over 87,000 miles over 35 years to families, schools, hospitals and prisons; inciting in all these places an attachment to the Blessed Mother and the rosary. His mission gave birth to the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother Campaign, which today reaches millions across the world!
With his motto, "Serve, and you will reign," João Pozzobon offered everything to the Blessed Mother in love and self-giving. His life shows us what everyday sanctity can look like when lived to the full. May his witness lead us to live our own mission with the same joy, sacrifice, and Marian spirit.
"..I made my great discovery in the Shrine of Our Mother Thrice Admirable and Queen of Schoenstatt. The kindness and mercy of God and Our Lady, Mother and Queen, entrusted in me with a great sanctifying mission, the Holy Rosary Campaign. I understood the mission and surrendered myself totally to it." - João Pozzobon
Venerable João Pozzobon, pray for us!
Schoenstatt is an international Catholic movement of education and spiritual formation. We seek to grow as free, dedicated, and active witnesses of Christ in modern life by uniting our faith with our everyday lives. We look to Mary to educate us in this task and to guide us in becoming better followers of Christ.
Membership in the Schoenstatt Movement is open to all. We invite you to attend one of our monthly gatherings or consider becoming a volunteer. Please click here for more information.
The Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Schoenstatt serves the needs of its pilgrims through the generosity of individuals like you. It is thanks to individuals who recognize the importance of this special place of pilgrimage that we are able to continue our mission. Thank you for considering a gift to the Shrine.
